I started this quilt when I started another one that I was making for a friend, thinking it would save time to do two at a time. Then after it started to take too long for my friend's quilt, I decided I'd better just concentrate on it, so this one went on the back burner. When I finally finished the other one, this one finally got done. It's a fabric collection called Serendipity from Piece 'O Cake designs and the pattern is Sweet Pea by Heather Mulder Peterson (with one less row and a pieced border). I'm not sure how much I like how it turned out-it's extremely busy and bright-maybe a little too much. But it's done and it'll keep someone warm this winter just the same as any other, right? Plus it's a great size for a picnic blanket.
the pieced back
the label (this will probably be my generic label unless I'm making a quilt for someone specific)
I really wanted to get a picture of it with this little stinker on it, but he was more interested in playing.

This is cute. How do you do rounded corners? I like the way those look. I can't wait to get to work on a quilt with my Lucy's Crab Shack.
I think your quilt turned out great and I love the bright colors.

This is SO pretty! Love the way you did the corners and that's great to put a label on it! Wonderful!

This is just fantastic! I really love the bright colors and think it will brighten up someones gloomy day this winter in addition to keeping them warm :) You have such talent!!
Stunning quilt. Even if you think it is too bright, I think it is perfect.
Hi Gayle! A picnic blanket? I wouldn't put that beauty on the ground! I love the rounded corners.
That is soooo gorgeous and your friend is going to love it.
